Unemployment = Too much time spent on the internet

So for the past week and a half I have been unemployed.

Luckily I have a new job coming up. Unfortunately though, the new job doesn't start until April 20th, meaning that I now have a lot of time on my hands but zero moneys. The only thing I have to do with my time is spend too much time on the internet. The results of this has been the recent spat of blog updates.

I have also been using twitter a lot more recently. According to http://www.whendidyoujointwitter.com/ I've had a twitter account for 867 days. I've probably tweeted more in the last 48 hours than I have in the last 6 months. I love when someone replies to me. It gives me little internet butterflies. To regular users, is this normal? Does it wear off?

I've just now installed Tweet Deck. I feel an addiction coming on. Watch this space....

Shoe Wish List

Following on from the last post...

I really want some comfortable sandals to wear with the potential new outfits.

I seem to be finding it really hard to find flat sandals that look nice. Not too dressy, not too casual, in a neutral colour, no between toe strap, oh yeah, and I want them to be super comfy. Not too much to ask is it?

Something like this but with less toe cleavage.

Anyone have any ideas.

I love these pumps too and I think thy would go with pretty much anything.

I love both of these heeled sandals but can't decide which one I like the most.

All these shoes are from Clarks. I love Clarks shoes, they're so comfortable. Even the heels are comfy and as I love my heels, I love Clarks!

Current Wish List

So I moved to Canada....

Its only starting to show signs of spring here at the minute but all the locals are warning me that the summer will be very, very, very warm, so this has me thinking about all the summery clothes I want to buy.

At the minute the budget may just about stretch to Forever 21 so I've been prowling their website.

For work, I would love this shirt with these shorts.....

....or this skirt with a light white cotton shirt....

....and then all of these dresses. I must have them.

My absolute favourite dress, is this one....

...and then for weekends....

Wedding Shoes

So I've been craving Diane Hassals Buttercup shoes nearly as long as I've been engaged, but..... (and there is a very big BUT) they are more than I really wanted to pay for my wedding shoes.

So I went on the hunt for the best price I could find. I got my list of Irish stockists from the Rainbow Club website and started calling. I knew Elegant Steps had them for €230 so I hoped to do a bit better than this.

Well one of the first stores I got through to was Chamarie in Mullingar. I told the girl I had got her number from the website and asked did she stock the shoes. I had expected to have to order them in but turns out she had buttercup in in a 3!! (my size) and, and, and, they were on sale!!

I headed down there the next day from Kildare, and I have to say the shop is just fabulous. Before I settled on buttercup the girl there was so helpful and brought me out lots of other options in my size she thought I might like. There was so many great choices there that I found it hard to decide, but eventually I went for Buttercup. I thought I might regret it in the future if I didnt go for my first love. In the end they I got them for €170, so very happy with my bargain.

I have to say the experience in the shop was great and I would definetly recommend anyone looking for beautiful shoes to try there.

Also to all you Mullingar residents, I haven't been to Mullingar since I was a kid and you guys are spoilt for some great shops and boutiques down there. I'm so jealous.

Heres my shoes....

May Day

Well its the last day of May and I'm finally getting round to putting up pictures of our May Bush.

From Wikipedia - "Another common aspect of the festival which survived up until the early 20th century in Ireland was the hanging of May Boughs on the doors and windows of houses and the erection of May Bushes in farmyards, which usually consisted either of a branch of rowan/caorthann (mountain ash) or more commonly whitethorn/sceach geal (hawthorn) which is in bloom at the time and is commonly called the 'May Bush' or just 'May' in Hiberno-English. Furze/aiteann was also used for the May Boughs, May Bushes and as fuel for the bonfire. The practice of decorating the May Bush or Dos Bhealtaine with flowers, ribbons, garlands and colored egg shells has survived to some extent among the diaspora as well, most notably in Newfoundland, and in some Easter traditions observed on the East Coast of the United States."
